"To Whom It May Concern:
Good Day!  I' am Estela Q. Ramos 51 years old and were leaving at Bayambang Pangasinan, Philippines. I' am a grandmother of a 2 1/2 years old boy named Ryan Joshua Ramos or in short RJ. RJ is suffering a from Congenital Heart Disease and for the past years his Cardiologist has been monitoring his condition last November 2001 and his doctor advised me to bring RJ to the Philippine Heart Center for a more thorough examination he needed, with referral letter in my hand we decided to go to Manila."

"RJ undergone a 2D echo under Dr. Aurora S. Gamponia, after the examination his Dr. Gamponia told me that RJ has to undergo two operations, the first operation should be done as soon as possible, I feel cramps on my stomach after the Dr's explanation, I didn't said anything, I was so afraid and adamant as well as confuse. The first thing that comes into my mind is the amount of money involved, and where could we get it."

"RJ mother is my daughter, she got pregnant at the age of sixteen by her classmate, I was working in Hong Kong as domestic helper when this thing happened, I thought it's the end of everything for me. I decided to come home and resolve the problem much to my suffering, I already accepted her fate, I never went back to Hong Kong again, then RJ came. He's a cute little boy, 2 weeks after his birth we found out that he has a Congenital Heart Disease. I thought what happened to my daughter is going to be my last pained but it didn't stop here. I have to accept all this as a trial, and I have to do something for my grand son."

"One time my son told me about your Organization, when he read newspaper about Jerden Sampang's case, and ask me to try writing you, that's why I'm here right now asking you to please help my grandson."

RJ, Ryan Joshua Ramos, aged 2½
"I know that through this letter something good will happen and would lead to my grandson's early operation. I'm begging you and asking your help. Please acknowledge my letter for the sake of little boy who gives so much joy to us."

"Right now, we don't have any source of income, I just depend on my husband earning as a farmer and it could sustain RJ's medical need.
Thank you so much for taking time out in reading my letter and God Bless."

Sincerely Yours,
Estela Q. Ramos, Ryan's Grandmother
