June 08 (Eastern Standard Time). Arife is doing much better since having her infected teeth removed. She is smiling and seems much happier and more alert. She has been walking and riding in her stroller, all around the halls in Montefiore.
She proudly shows her missing teeth and giggles a great deal with everyone that plays with her. She is also enjoying painting her fingernails, and anyone elses' that will let her. There are a number of Albanian speaking nurses working on her floor that she has become friends with.
