Arife's mother Ganimete Zejna in June 2002 while her daughter used BOES.ORG/internetlifeline - an international cooperation for free lifesaving surgery.
Ganimete was traumatized by the war 1998-99, and her first child, Arife, was dying. - Her daughter was under specialist treatment in New York in that very moment, June 2002. Health-problems made it impossible for both mother and father to follow Arife to New York.
Early July 2002. "Free at last". Tears of happiness instead of tears from worries.
After 1½ month overseas, Arife could meet her family again, July 3. Photo: CIMIC Btl. KFOR, Kosovo
